Teacher of the Year

Needwood Middle School Teacher of the Year               

Join us in congratulating Waukeshia Gant as Needwood Middle School’s Teacher of the Year!   Ms. Gant has taught 7th grade ELA for the past 14 years at Needwood.  She was selected by her peers to receive this honor.  Here are some of the things her peers had to say about her:

• She is an exceptionally dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled teacher in the preparation and delivery of her favorite subject.
• She is a people person. She is always willing to help other teachers with strategies, fresh ideas, technology, and more.
• Waukeshia has excellent class management. She is firm and controls her class with lots of love. All students are pushed with differentiated activities in order to be successful.
• She leads the NMS cheer team. Her students are always fired up with excitement and a winning spirit. In addition, Waukeshia participates in many community outreach programs.
• Waukeshia is articulate when presenting information. She is professional in her daily appearance. She walks with her own identifiable steps which cause others looking on to smile.
• Great teacher, hard worker, goes the extra mile, kind, and all-around great person.
