On Thursday, Jan. 9, Glynn County School Board members were officially sworn in by Judge Stephen Kelley, marking the beginning of a new year. The ceremony included returning board members Audrey Gibbons and John Madala, along with newly elected members Jeff Dodgen and Susan Lee. Mr. Dodgen takes over the District 1 seat from Marcus Edgy, while Mrs. Lee succeeds Jerry Mancil for the At Large Post 2 position.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the board members and a warm welcome to Mr. Dodgen and Mrs. Lee.
In addition to the swearing-in ceremony, the Glynn County Board of Education held its first meeting of 2025, where they unanimously elected Dr. Hank Yeargan as the board chairman and Mr. Mike Hulsey as the vice chairman. Be sure to congratulate them when you see them.
