April is Autism Awareness month. In the United States, autism affects 1 in 44 children. Across the world, April 2nd is recognized as Autism Awareness day. The world recognizes this by a day to “Light It Up Blue”. Needwood will be wearing BLUE on Fridays during the month of April to show our support for this worldly cause. We will be educating students and staff by raising awareness in our school community. This month is about being compassionate towards others and we hope to see many of our Needwood Warriors participating by either wearing blue, sharing a story, or improving their knowledge of autism and how it affects our world and community. “Be a Kind Sole” T-shirts will be available for purchase for $15 by filling out the order form below.
