........................................................

Family: I have one son in college and my mother lives with me.

Who is your role model? Vivian White Marbury – one of the founders of Sigma Gamma Rho sorority – was a school teacher that believed in educating her students as well as their communities.

What book has most influenced you? "The Women of Brewster Place" by Gloria Naylor.  The ability of each individual to keep moving forward despite his or her struggles has been very encouraging to me.

What is your greatest teaching memory? My greatest teacher memory is when Damaria H. hugged me her senior year and said I was the only teacher that believed in her and kept her out of trouble.

What is your favorite quote or personal motto? My favorite quote is by Malcom X: "Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today."

What is a fact about you that most people don't know? I attended AFCENT (Air Force Central Command) International School in Holland (Brussum, Netherland) for k-2nd grade.

Any hidden talents or hobbies? I love cake decorating.
