Activity or Assignment with Text/Links The students will use chromebooks to complete an activity requiring them to read 4 different articles about the 1996 Olympics. They will find information and add it to four different boxes: short-term economic growth, long-term economic growth, short-term population growth, and long-term population growth. The teacher will follow the activity by reviewing the material using slides. Notes provided. Show a movie clip (Anchorman 2), which was filmed at a tourist destination- St. Simon’s Island, Ga. The students will then answer 2 questions: What do you notice in this clip? Why do you think we watched this? The teacher will lead the students through a Slide presentation over the material. The students will complete a comprehension activity after each of the 3 subtopics is taught. The students will complete a review activity on what they learned Monday and Tuesday. They will then take a quiz over the material. *Test Friday Students will complete a quiz analysis and play Gimkit in preparation for tomorrow’s test. The students will take a test over the items listed in the Success Criteria.
