I know that I have it when I can explain the ways judges are selected, analyze the dual purpose of the judicial branch, explain the difference between criminal and civil law, explain the steps in the adult criminal justice system, explain the difference between delinquent and unruly behavior, describe the rights of juveniles, explain the steps in the juvenile system, explain the origins and purposes of city, county, and local governments, and describe how local government is funded.

Activity or Assignment with Text/Links

Today will be a utility day for students to catch up on the information that we have been presenting to them since the beginning of this unit.


Students will also have to use the knowledge that they have learned thus far to complete the Economics/Government Review.


Students will prepare for Thursday’s quiz!

Students will show what they know today, and take the government quiz today.


Afterwards they will begin their Quiz Analysis in preparation for tomorrow’s test!

The students will take a test over the items listed in the Success Criteria.
