Activity or Assignment with Text/Links Students will use chromebooks to watch videos and/or read articles about MLK, SCLC, and the March on Washington. They will complete activities related to each topic. *2 Day Lesson Students will use chromebooks to watch videos and/or read articles about MLK, SCLC, and the March on Washington. They will complete activities related to each topic. *Continued from Monday We will have a discussion about John Lewis, the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), and the Albany Movement while information about these topics is presented to them via a slide presentation. Students will answer comprehension questions using the information presented to them and on their worksheet. Quiz Friday over standard SS8H11b. Today will be a utility day for students to catch up on the information that we have been presenting to them since the beginning of this unit. Students will also have to use the knowledge that they have learned thus far to complete a SS8H11b Review Activity. Students will prepare for tomorrow’s quiz! *Class begins with SS8H11b Quiz! TeenBiz article: John Lewis Inspires ‘Good Trouble’. Discuss the before reading poll. Do you agree that nothing can stop the power of determined and committed people to make a change in society? The students will complete the five green circles of the TeenBiz article: John Lewis Inspires “Good Trouble”. Discuss the thought question.
