Teacher : Angela Davis Unit/ Session: 7th- Phonics Language of Math Date(s) of Instruction: September 9-13, 2024 Content and Language Standards: Learning Target: I will recite the integer rules in English. I will identify vowels and consonants. I will correctly rean and say short a, short e, c, m, s, and t. Success Criteria: I will be successful when I can explain how to solve a math problem in English. I will be successful when I can point out, write, and say the correct sound. Language Objective: I will read math problems correctly in English. I will read CVC words made from the letters, c, a, t, s, and m. Opening (I Do) An engaging process for lesson introduction that is specifically planned to encourage equitable and purposeful student participation. Describe the instructional process that will be used to introduce the lesson. TKES 1, 2, 3,4,5, 8,10 ( Direct Instruction- Connection, Mini lesson) Big 5 Connection, Teach, Active Engagement, Link Focus: calendar, decoding/letters and sounds ( c, t ,s, m, short a, short e) Big 5 - Phonics practice, sentence practice, pronouns Work Period (We Do, You Do) Students learn by doing/demonstrating learning expectations.
