Activity or Assignment with Text/Links

The students will read the story of the removal of the Cherokee from Georgia. After that, the teacher will use slides to review the key points. Notes will be provided.

The students will be given a blank piece of paper to fold into 6 sections. Throughout the lesson, they will update their paper to summarize the six people/events from the success criteria.

On the back of the paper, the students will write a “wikipedia” entry about the Trail of Tears.

This is a two day lesson (Will conclude on today).

Students will review for today’s quiz by watching a video, answering, and discussing questions!

Segment will end with a quiz over the Creek and Cherokee in Georgia.

Today is a review day!

Remind students of the different activities we have completed to learn the material. Point out where the students should be able to locate the information.

We will spend a day to ensure that we understand all components of the success criteria.

Students will complete a quiz analysis. This will serve as a study guide.

The students will complete a kahoot to review. The teacher will highlight important aspects of the questions/answers when necessary.

It’s time to show what you know! Get your desk cleared of everything, and prepare to take the Westward Expansion Test!

Students will individually take the Westward Expansion Test using UNIFY on their chromebooks.

The students will be provided with a notes activity. They will receive direct instruction about that topic using Slides. They will answer comprehension questions.
