I am learning to compare and contrast pure substances and mixtures and I am learning to distinguish the difference between types of mixtures, so that I can explain the difference between different types of substances.

Success Criteria:

• 

  Define a pure substance.

• 

  Recognize what is the same in elements and compounds

• 

  List and describe the two types of mixtures  

• 

  Draw a model for each of the pure substances and mixtures that shows particle arrangement
