Teacher : Angela Davis Unit/ Session: 6th - Stay in School - Asking and answering questions; story elements, writing using correct conventions, speaking with fluency Date(s) of Instruction: October 2-13, 2023 Content and Language Standards: ELAGSE6W3: Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, relevant descriptive details, and well-structured event sequences. ELAGSE6W10: Write routinely over extended time frames (time for research, reflection, and revision) and shorter time frames (a single sitting or a day or two) for a range of discipline-specific tasks, purposes, and audiences. ELAGSE6SL1: Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions (one-on-one, in groups, and teacher-led) with diverse partners on grade 6 topics, texts, and issues, building on others’ ideas and expressing their own clearly. ELAGSE6L1: Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking. Learning Target: I will listen to, read, and write questions. I will answer questions by speaking and writing. I will define and use narrative story elements. Success Criteria: I will demonstrate success by reading questions and answers to my classmates. I will demonstrate success by asking questions and writing the answers. I will demonstrate success by matching terms and definitions and by writing a narrative.
