Teacher : Angela Davis Unit/ Session: 6th - “Why my Family Came to America” - Writing clear sentences; story elements, writing using correct conventions, speaking with fluency Date(s) of Instruction: October 16-27, 2023 Content and Language Standards: ELAGSE6W3: Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, relevant descriptive details, and well-structured event sequences. ELAGSE6W4: Produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience. ELAGSE6W5: With some guidance and support from peers and adults, develop and strengthen writing as needed by planning, revising, editing, rewriting, or trying a new approach. ELAGSE6W6: Use technology, including the Internet, to produce and publish writing as well as to interact and collaborate with others. Learning Target: I will write a clear narrative on why my family came to America. I will produce clear, coherent writing in English. I will use technology to produce and publish my story. Success Criteria: I will demonstrate success by creating a slide presentation about my family. I will demonstrate success by changing my sentences to improve them. I will demonstrate success by using technology to help translate my story.
