(Clarification statement: The interactions include, but are not limited to, predator-prey relationships, competition, mutualism, parasitism, and commensalism.) |

DIRECT INSTRUCTION: - Introduce symbiosis through powerpoint. Students will take notes on mutualism, commensalism, and parasitism. Videos will be shown to reinforce each term. |
Work Period (We Do, You Do) Students learning by doing/demonstrating learning expectations. Describe the instructional process that will be used to engage the students in the work period. TKES 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7. 8,10 | GUIDED PRACTICE: Discussions during videos about each form of symbiosis and the differences between each. After the presentation, students will receive a symbiosis handout titled, “Good Buddies”. The class will go over the first couple questions together.

INDEPENDENT/COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE/DIFFERENTIATION: Students will finish the good buddies worksheet once the class reviews the first few questions. |
