| INTRODUCTION/CONNECTION: Why do you think it’s important to work independently in the lab bi-monthly or weekly? Learning a language is a luxury with a teacher at the helm, and it is also important to become independent learners. It takes an average of 7 years to become sufficiently fluent in a language, and the only way to get there is to work hard and spend time independent of the teacher practicing. |
DIRECT INSTRUCTION: This free website offers essential (basic) fun activities in 1) expressions 2) people and family 3) numbers 4) around the house 5) describing things 6) around town 7) everyday life 8) at a restaurant 9) at work
You will work on these 9 units every week for the next 9 ½ weeks. You will log onto the computer, go to the website www.livinglanguage.com. After you complete at least 3 activities (each unit has about 10 activities), you will initial and date when you completed the activity. You will be graded as follows: Completed 0/3 activities = 0 Completed 1/3activities = 60 Completed 2/3 activities = 80 Completed 3/3 activities = 100
