INTRODUCTION/CONNECTION:

Science Starter review question  

DIRECT INSTRUCTION: 

Review the plant kingdom and its characteristics. Review yesterday’s assignment and make sure students begin developing their wanted ad. 

Next, show students the gizmo to complete when finished with the poster. Go over how to manipulate the variables as well as how to answer the google doc questions.

Students learning by doing/demonstrating learning expectations.  Describe the instructional process that will be used to engage the students in the work period.

GUIDED PRACTICE:  

Practice growing trees in the forest using the gizmo tool. 

INDEPENDENT/COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE/DIFFERENTIATION:

Students will finish their plant wanted ads and will then work on the gizmo when complete.
