Success Criteria: Identify and compare the six kingdoms Explain characteristics that make each kingdom unique Describe the difference between unicellular and multicellular organisms.

DIRECT INSTRUCTION: Instruction Video Introduce the first 2 of the 6 kingdoms (Archaea/Eubacteria). Use the classification powerpoint as students take notes.

Work Period (We Do, You Do) Students learning by doing/demonstrating learning expectations. Describe the instructional process that will be used to engage the students in the work period. TKES 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7. 8,10
| GUIDED PRACTICE: Students will fill out their charted notes on Archaea and Eubacteria.
When notes are finished, go over the instagerm assignment explaining to students what to do. Pass out rubric and assignment directions and detail to students expectations.
*Goal by the end of class: complete InstaGerm research using the chromebooks |
INDEPENDENT/COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE/DIFFERENTIATION: Students will choose a strand of bacteria to research on and will create an instagerm account detailing that bateria’s characteristics.
