| GUIDED PRACTICE: I will stop and ask individual students and the class as a whole questions about Santa Week/Semana Santa.
As a fun addition, we will write a letter to Santa like the one below and include a picture of their favorite outfit (clothes they want for Christmas). We may also have time to make poinsettias to remind us of the Mexican legend and angels to remind us of the Spanish legend. Santa Letter |
INDEPENDENT/COLLABORATIVE PRACTICE/DIFFERENTIATION: Students will compare the similarities and differences between how Navidad/Christmas is celebrated in the U.S. and in Mexico using a graphic organizer. Advanced students will write a description. Play some peaceful Christmas instrumental music while they are working on their poinsettias
