Unit/Session: Properties of Matter - Chemical Changes and Sorting

Date of Instruction:  11/3/21

Standard/s: S8P1.c

Plan and carry out investigations to compare and contrast chemical (i.e., reactivity, combustibility) and physical (i.e., density, melting point, boiling point) properties of matter.

Learning Target/ Teaching Point:

I can compare and contrast physical and chemical properties of matter, so that I can apply these characteristics to my life.

Success Criteria:

  • Define a Property

  • Recall and list 5 physical properties of matter

  • Recall and list 3 chemical properties of matter

  • Describe any object using at least 5 characteristics
