Write about a character who experiences an even in life that starts off poorly but turns out to be something good.  Maybe the character had an injury and learned an important lesson from the experience.  Perhaps the character lost a friend or a possession but gained something more valuable.  Maybe the character got a birthday gift he or she hated at first but learned to love.  Tell the story of that even and describe how a negative experience was transformed into a positive one. Be sure your narrative includes character dialogue, a plot, and a setting.  Use descriptive details and transitions.

The online notebook will be used for your Daily Grammar Practice and rough draft of your narrative story.  Notebooks will be checked for a notebook grade.

I am checking notebooks to make sure daily work is being completed.  Grammar Do-Now, struggle and motivation, Story plan,  leads and introductions, plus the middle of the story. 


You DO NOT need to submit your notebook.  I will review and make necessary comments.  You can submit this as your assignment, so I know you have completed the necessary work in your notebook.

There are two pretest you need to complete.   One on Recognizing parts of speech and the other on sentence structure: simple, compound, and complex.
